Cruinniú na nÓg 2025: Open Call for Programme Proposals

Westmeath Arts Office invites youth organisations, community groups, and creatives to apply for funding for this years Cruinniú na nÓg gathering, taking place on Saturday June 7th 2025.

Cruinniú na nÓg is a flagship initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme’s Creative Youth Plan to enable the creative potential of children and young people. Since 2018, young people and families have come together to enjoy a wide range of creative activities including workshops and tutorials to recitals and readings in every city, town and village across the country. Delivered in partnership with the 31 Local Authorities and supported by RTÉ, Cruinniú na nÓg delivers a programme of fun, free, creative activities: from graffiti art workshops to stop-motion animation, to coding and architecture workshops!

Individuals and organisations are invited to submit proposals for Cruinniú na nÓg programming. This is a county-wide call to community groups, organisations, venues, and individuals working in creative and cultural fields. The call encourages the development of programming which enables young people to realise their full creative potential.

There are three strands of funding available for Cruinniú na nÓg programming.

Strand One: Proposals up to €500 are welcomed from individual creative practitioners.

Strand Two: Proposals up to €1,500 are welcomed from venues, community groups, and organisations.

Strand Three: Proposals up to €7,500 are welcomed from venues, community groups, and organisations. For projects under this strand to be eligible, they must be in direct collaboration with a youth community group. It is expected that projects of this scale will begin with a key event, with programming continuing in the summer.

The closing date for submission is on or before Thursday 3^rd April 2025, 12pm
