Westmeath Libraries are delighted to host a wide variety of events this May as part of the Bealtaine Festival, Ireland’s national celebration of the arts and creativity as we age.
Established in 1995, Bealtaine is one of Ireland’s largest co-operative festival and the world’s first national celebration of creativity in older age. This Festival brings together people from all over Ireland to foster and inspire creativity among older people and to promote the skills, experiences and exposure that can lead to a rich creative life for all older people.
This year, activities in Westmeath Libraries include music, movies and reminisces; there's something for everyone and, as always, all library events are free! Some of these events do require booking. Just check out our listing below.
