This May as part of the Bealtaine festival we celebrated the arts and creativity.
Our last event was the coffee and crafts class where we chose to decorate greeting cards with flowers of late Spring and early Summer. Greatly inspired by the wonderful wildflower meadow right outside our window in the libraries creative space, we set to work.
In a relaxed atmosphere, we discussed how art can encompass wellbeing, cultural representation and celebration, with each participant creating a card with the flowers and colours that brought them joy. In art, there is no right or wrong, there is only learning, experimentation and seeing what works for you and what doesn’t.
