National Heritage Week celebrates Ireland’s cultural, built and natural heritage and this year in Westmeath Libraries we have a whole host of events and exhibitions for you to visit. Remember, all library events are free, but for some you will need to register in advance. Check the details below.

Echoes of the Táin exhibition

On display with be some of the beautiful handmade Táin Tapestries together with ornate rare books from our collection filled with rich detail of the mighty epic.
Artefacts : our connection through Heritage

explore the connection between people and our heritage. Artefacts gathered from Collinstown, Fore, Drumcree,Castlepollard and Delvin and north Westmeath area.
Moate & Snowcream: a journey together

This interesting exhibition recalls the 50-year history of Moate based business Snowcream. Since it first opened in 1958, Snowcream grew to become a huge party in the community and a welcome addition to the town for employment.

Irish Heritage Lego freeplay
