Library competition terms and conditions

  1. Library competitions are open to residents of Ireland in the age categories specified by each individual competition
  2. The promoter is Westmeath Libraries
  3. The Promoter’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  4. The Promoter retains sole discretion to withhold prizes without liability if in its view a winner is ineligible, the entry is invalid or a winner does not meet the necessary requirements as set out in these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Promotion in the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside of its control.
  5. All internet connection charges shall be the entrant’s responsibility.
  6. The information, including personal data, which participants submit to enter the Promotion, will be used by the Promoter to run the promotion including contacting the winner.
  7. By participating in the Promotion, participants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
  8. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes all liability whatsoever to entrants and the winner in relation to the Promotion and the prize to be awarded.
  9. A valid entry is defined as signing up to the dlr times and providing your name and email address.
  10. Any prize is as stated in any messaging or promotions advertising such competition. No cash or other alternative will be offered. Prizes are transferable to other family members or friends. The Competition Promoter retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available.
  11. Entry to competitions is free. No purchase is necessary. 
  12. Entry to competitions shall be deemed full and unconditional acceptance of the terms & conditions. 
  13. By entering this competition, the entrant agrees to allow dlr to periodically send emails/updates on news/events in the county.
  14. The Competition Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. 
  15. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish Courts. 
  16. The Competition Promoter shall not be liable for any failure to stage the competition on the date provided in these terms and conditions as a result of circumstances outside the competition promoter’s control including, but not limited to, acts of God, war, riots, explosion, abnormal weather conditions, fire, flood, Government action, strikes, lockouts, delay by third parties, accidents and shortages of materials, labour or facilities. 
  17. No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.
  18. Prize is subject to availability.
  19. Individual competitions may have additional terms specified.
