The Scandal by Fredik Backman review by Anne Byrne
The Scandal is set in a small Swedish town called Beartown, and the community of Beartown live for hockey. They hope to win the league so that people with invest in their town.
The author helps us understand the characters, and their hopes dreams, fears and secrets, they are united through their love of hockey.
Then something unexpected happens and the towns people must take sides. This is where I feel the book gets interesting.
This is one of those books that will stay with me for a long time, I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.
