From Monday, 20th September 2021, Westmeath Libraries are extending our services. As well as offering browsing and borrowing facilities, you will now be able to book a study space or use a computer or wifi. In addition, we welcome access to our Local Studies departments in Athlone and Mullingar.
In order to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit, we would ask that everyone maintain physical distancing and good hand hygiene and that visits should not exceed 2 hours.We encourage everyone to use our self-service kiosks to issue and return items.
Athlone, Mullingar, Moate, Castlepollard and Kilbeggan will open with late night service on Thursdays. We are also delighted to extend Kilbeggan Library opening hours to include Mondays.

There will be a limit on the number of visitors allowed into each library at any one time. Everyone should continue to wear a face covering while in the libraries.
