  • Moate    24/10/2023 at 11am - Advice on your Device - Ask our resident tech guru questions on how to download and join Westmeath libraries free online resources as well as any common IT problems. No need to book, just drop in and we'll do our best to help.

The staff in Mullingar Library will be here every Wednesday morning between 10am and 12pm to answer your questions. Bring along your device and learn how to download the apps and register your details. No need to book.

  • Kilbeggan               26/10/2023 at 6pm - Murder Mystery at the Library- This Halloween artist Emma Cassidy has designed a Murder Mystery Game set in Kilbeggan Library.  Imagine, it is some time in 1920's. Christie MacAgatha has come to Kilbeggan Library to launch her new novel Murder Most Murderous when shockingly there is a murder. Whodunnit?  Does everyone present have an alibi? Come along and join in the detecting fun, fancy dress optional.
  • All libraries - Road Safety Awareness competition - Simply design a poster to raise awareness of Road Safety and drop it in to your local Westmeath Library to be in with a chance to win.

  • Athlone  25/10/2023 at 1.30pm - Shine Peer Support Group.
  • Shine Peer Support Group for people with lived experience of mental health challenges. The group will meet fortnightly from 1.30 - 3pm.  This group is open to all those who experience mental health difficulties and provides a safe, confidential space for people to share their experiences. The group will be facilitated by a peer facilitator who has the expertise by experience of living with mental health difficulties as well as years of experience in recovery and supporting others in their journey.  If you are interested in joining the group, please contact Jason at midlands@shine.ie or 086 8525281 to have your questions answered or to sign up.

She will be advising on how to set up and develop a Macra club in your area. All are welcome and no registration is required.
