Library unbound - programme of events

Summer Stars Launch with Pat Ryan

Pat will have you all entranced with his marvellous stories, from traditional fairy tales to scary legends, you never know what tale is next... Suitable for classes to attend, aimed at ages 8 to 12.

Online event - 14th June at 11am

Dragonterra comes to Athlone Library

Dragonterra is a fantasy adventure aimed at readers aged 6-10 years old. Printed in larger font with carefully pitched vocabulary and beautiful hand-drawn illustrations throughout, these books will capture both the attention and the imagination of young readers. Each book is divided into 7 chapters and contains approximately 4,500 words - a fantastic achievement for your young reader!

In this workshop, Louise will introduce readers to the Dragonterra adventure, showing them some magical objects that feature in the story, such as a magical compass, a feather and a telescope. There will also be time for a Q&A session on the Dragonterra book series. Each child in attendance will receive a signed copy of book 1, The Forest Adventure.

Suitable for ages 7-9, this fantastic event is free but booking required!
