Local artist Cathal Gallagher launches second solo show ‘Atlantic Windows’ at the Atrium, Mullingar

Westmeath Arts Office is delighted to present a solo exhibition Atlantic Windows from artist Cathal Gallagher in the Atrium from 7th February until 17th February. The exhibition will showcase over twenty works in oil, mixed media and acrylic paint. Each work is a framed window out to the stunning Wild Atlantic Way, and the eternal Lakescapes of Ireland.

Cathal Gallagher is from Athlone and has been an artist all his life. He draws inspiration from his travels on the Wild Atlantic Way and the works are styled as photo realistic windows out of the here and now, to the mighty oceans of Kerry, the Midlands, Sligo, and the West of Ireland.

Cathal has exhibited his work widely, including two years at the international artfair, Artsource at the RDS. His work has sold in multiple countries worldwide and continues to be snapped up by buyers and collectors quickly. He has featured on several prestigious online sites, including twice on Saatchi Art. This is Cathal’s second solo exhibition and he is thrilled that people will be able to view new works in one beautiful location.
