Artist Sarah Curran will display her solo exhibition Mindful Expressions in the Atrium, Mullingar. The exhibition will be launched by former RTE northern editor Tommie Gorman on 14 December at 630pm. The works will be on display from Monday 11 December until Friday 15th January.
Sarah lives in Mullingar, her hometown, having lived abroad in Brussels and London for 15 years. Sarah has painted for most of her adult life and her love is working on animals and the Irish landscape.
Sarah works as an SNA in St Finians College and paints in her spare time. This is her first solo exhibition but she has exhibited her work as part of a local art group over the last few years.
Speaking of the launch, Westmeath Arts Officer Miriam Mulrennan said;
“It is a pleasure to see Sarah Curran launch her exhibition Mindful Expressions at the Atrium here in Mullingar. We are delighted, in particular, to see artists choosing to develop their work and artistic profession within the county, and to offer artists a means of progressing in their career. Last December we launched the inaugural Westmeath Artists Awards and this hugely varied display of local talent allowed us a view of the thriving artistic talent in Westmeath. We are excited to see more artists choosing the Atrium as a space for their work in 2024”
