The Westmeath Arts Office is planning an exciting programme of events for Cruinniú na nÓg 2023!

Cruinniú na nÓg Westmeath –

Seeking Interest from Creatives for Programme of Activities

Saturday 10th June 2023

Cruinniú na nÓg is Irelands day of free activity to enable children and young people to develop their artistic flair through access to free, creative, hands-on, imaginative activities in their locality.

Westmeath Arts Office is seeking interest from creatives or organisations to produce and deliver a free of charge creative activity, event or performance for children aged 0-18years in the Westmeath community to take part in on Saturday 10th June 2023. Activities should be child centered, foster creativity and engage a diverse audience, through a range of creative forms.

Funding available from €150 (Individuals) - €1000 (Venues)

Interested Creatives or venues should send an email to arts@westmeathcoco.ie with the information outlined on this document.

o        The event/ workshop must be free for children to take part in and cannot be an existing activity that is already funded. Successful projects must acknowledge the support of Westmeath Arts Office, Westmeath County Council, Creative Ireland, Cruinniú na nÓg.

o        It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure all correct policies and procedures are in place to proceed if successful. The following will be required for submission: a soft copy of Child Protection Statement, Garda Vetting, Appropriate Insurances.

o        GDPR: You must ensure that you have official Creative Ireland written permission for all photos taken at your event (form supplied).

o        Submission does not guarantee selection due to limited funding available for this activity.

o        If your application is successful full quotes and then invoices and receipts for the amount will need to be submitted.

Calling all young musicians in Westmeath! Opportunities to perform at Garageland Galaxyz at Cruinniú na nÓg 2023. If you are a young musician aged 12 - 19 and you'd like to take part in a massive open air festival in Athlone on June 10th simply write an email saying 'YES GALAXYZ WESTMEATH' to info@garageland.ie and our team will be directly in touch! All Garageland All Ages events are co-ordinated with relevant adult supervision.

Garageland Galaxyz is for the new generation. It is the biggest ever Youth Music project designed by the Garageland Team – designed during some of the most challenging times in living memory – designed for this new Ireland – we believe in inclusion for all of Ireland’s young musicians – it’s A Safe Space To Shine!

The Westmeath Arts Office would like to encourage young people across Westmeath to apply for This Is Art 2023

This Is Art! Ireland’s national young people’s art competition is back. The theme for 2023 is This Is Inspiration! We want to see what inspires you.

A prize fund of more than €10,000 will be awarded across the different categories for further education and art-related vouchers. So, unleash your creativity and show us your best work.

We will be showcasing artworks from local entrants across the county on Cruinniú na nÓg 2023.
