On Wednesday 12th March Westmeath’s ‘Not Around Us’ campaign was launched by the Leas Cathaoirleach of Westmeath County Council Cllr. Michael Dollard.
The ‘Not Around Us’ awareness campaign is an initiative to discourage nicotine/tabacco/vaping use for the next generation. It is an ask from young people to refrain from smoking or vaping in places where there are children and young people. This initiative is being rolled out by Healthy Ireland and Sláintecare Healthy Communities and supported by Comhairle na nÓg.

Westmeath Libraries provide free use of computers and wifi to anyone who would like to find out more about the “Not Around Us” campaign and who would like to access information on the HSE Quit Services.
Westmeath Libraries have a number of books, ebooks and eaudiobooks available to assist people when quitting smoking and vaping.
